Today begins Pride Month. Pride is a time to celebrate the impact of LGBTQ+ people.  It’s a time to honor those who fought for us, and those who continue to fight for equality. It’s a time to acknowledge those who had to hide who they are, and remember those who died for living their truth. Our history is wrought with violence born from misunderstanding, but marches on with increasing love and acceptance.

Gambling is affecting our children. A recent survey revealed that more than one-third of adolescent boys admitted to gambling. Many children are introduced to gambling through targeted social media algorithms. This exposure at a young age increases risk of developing gambling disorders. Gambling disorders later in life are strongly associated with substance use disorders, criminal activity, and suicide.
