Week of 3/8: International Women’s Day
Today we celebrate International Women's Day. On this day, we recognize the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women. The theme this year – “Give to Gain” – emphasizes the beliefs that generosity and collaboration multiply opportunity and contribute to women’s advancement. I’d like to share some of the inspiring work being done by Delaware’s women that strengthen our communities.
Week of 2/22: Medicine is Political
The world feels upside down. Powerful people turn neighbor against neighbor to steal wealth from our communities and leave us fighting for scraps. Our politicians remain silent to get their piece of the pie. Life is getting harder and more expensive, and public trust is eroding. If you work in healthcare, you’ve seen the result. People are getting sicker. Addiction and suicide are on the rise. Preventable illness is becoming a death sentence.
Week of 2/9: Energy Bills
Let’s talk about energy. Many of us have seen our energy bills go up by hundreds of dollars in the last few months – mine sure has. I’ve been meeting with Delaware's energy experts and learning more about this problem. There are reasons why our energy bills are rising, and plenty we can do about it.
Week of 2/1: Black History Month
This Black History Month is an important one. The Trump administration has spent the last year trying to erase the contributions of Black Americans. They want to play down the United States' sordid history of slavery and roll back the rights and protections that were won during the Civil Rights era.
Week of 1/18: Campaign Finance
Today, our campaign posted our year-end finance report. I wanted to share how we did. From September 15th to December 31st, we raised $57,615.98 from 233 individual contributors. Steven and I committed an additional $45,000. We raised a total of $102,615.98.
Week of 1/11: ICE Out
On January 7th, 2026, Renee Nicole Good was shot and killed by a United States ICE agent in Minneapolis, Minnesota. With anger and sadness in our hearts, over 650 members of our community gathered along Concord Pike in protest. We have had enough.
Week of 1/5: On Progressivism
Folks from all walks of life can be progressive. They want clean air to breathe and safe water to drink. They don’t want to be controlled by billionaires. They want good schools, good jobs, and good healthcare. They want life to be more affordable.
Week of 12/30: Medicaid Cuts
The New Year is a time for reflection and renewal. We choose to leave behind what no longer serves us, and find new ideas to address our challenges. One of the biggest challenges facing Delaware right now is Medicaid funding cuts.
Week of 12/15: School Redistricting
All parents ever want for their children is to find happiness and success. This past week, I joined hundreds of teachers, parents, former students, concerned neighbors, and many of our elected representatives at Mt. Pleasant Elementary School to discuss the proposed changes to our school districts. I wanted to share my thoughts.
Week of 12/7: My Family
Today is Delaware Day! On December 7th, 1787, Delaware earned its nickname as the “First State” when we became the first to ratify the Federal Constitution. This weekend is also special because Steve and I celebrated our 11th anniversary. I’d like to share more about our story.
Week of 11/30: Giving Back
I am inspired by those who dedicate themselves to selfless acts of service. As we close out the Thanksgiving weekend, I’d like to share some stories of selflessness and how they contribute to the strengthening of our community.

This past week, I attended a work conference and interacted with psychiatrists from across the world. I figured this was a great time to share more about what I do for a living.
Week of 11/16: Healthy Communities
Healthy communities have the power to lift us up, to heal, and to educate. I spent this week visiting communities throughout our District to see how our neighbors are putting those words into action.

Our country is facing some really dark times. But there is so much hope.
